I investigated the connection between entrepreneurship education and the entrepreneurial intention of college students, while also examining the role of student creativity as mediator of this relationship. I used a quantitative research method and structural equation modeling to gain a deeper understanding of the interplay among the variables. The sample for this study consisted of 423 university students from Shanxi, China, who completed a paper-based survey. The findings indicated that entrepreneurship education was positively related to student creativity, which, in turn, had a positive connection with entrepreneurial intention. Additionally, student creativity served as a mediator of the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. Contrary to my initial hypothesis, no significant association was observed between entrepreneurship education and students’ entrepreneurial intention. The study sheds light on the complex process by which entrepreneurship education affects entrepreneurial intention. Educators should enhance entrepreneurship education, focusing on nurturing creativity to facilitate college students’ entrepreneurial intentions.
